I Fail

There is no way I could even begin to count the

times I've failed....in all aspects of my life.

But I keep trying.....

New Journal

I've started a new journal this week using an old ledger
I found in a local shop.

It's been a while since I did any journaling. You'd think being an inmate
due to Covid I'd have gotten myself back into my studio but that hasn't
been the case. It's been in the 90's every day for a month here and I've
not done anything outside other than venture out to cut grass. Anyway,
now....I journal....

I Published A Book!

another items checked off my bucket list.....i've published a book! it's not the great
american novel...it's an art journal with a peek into my childhood and the trials and
tribulations my mother encountered in raising a bipolar offspring. i'll have to say...
i'm kinda proud of it. (I do NOT like the new blogger! Why doesn't my photo resize
to fit?????)

Wearing Myself Down

the year 2017 kicked my ass
that's not a complaint
it's a fact

this year isn't starting out much better
i think counseling might help...but
no insurance
no money
fear
....not sure they won't send the
men in the little white suits

instead of self medicating
...drugs
...alcohol
i'm immersing myself in art

i've never been one who could choose
a single path when it comes to art
...or anything else to be honest
so i dabble
little of this
little of that
trying to wear myself down
to who i'm meant to be

my goal is to survive the wearing
away in order to become that person
it's all i can hope for

Thank You 2014…..

it took losing my job for me to begin living.
most of my adult life has been spent obsessing over
money…or the lack of it. for me it was never about
keeping up with the Jones…it was about keeping a
roof over our heads…dependable transportation…and
food on the table. i lost my job through no fault of my
own. the day i was given my walking papers should
have debilitated me with fear…but it didn't. i never once
got that chills in the gut feeling because i knew….i
KNEW... the Universe would provide for me…and it
has. i have been blessed many times over since then.

my days are now filled with art…books…long walks
and a wonderment for life. i am so thankful for my
blessings…and the more thankful i've become…the more
blessed i have been. this has been a wonderful year…

thanks for all the answers 2014….

m.i.a.

well, i guess you thought i'd dropped off the face of the earth! it kinda felt like it for a while. my four year old grandaughter has been in the hospital for a week which hasn't been a pleasant experience for anyone concerned. she came home today and is doing fine. my number one priority was a decent cup of coffee once the dust settled. after brewing some coffee and trying to catch up on my cyber life i ran across these coffee creations. these were done by some talented folks! just look at the detail in this girl.
this one would be great for halloween guests.
i got these pictures from a site called weirdomatic.com by alexandra. check out the other coffee art on her site here.

as for me, i'm gonna enjoy another cup of joe, put my feet up, and catch up on some of my favorite reads! it's gonna be mighty fine sleeping in my own bed tonight, no nurses, no noise, no hospital coffee!
