The Weight of Words
the weight of words
some things in life can not be fixed
...they can only be carried
this piece began with a picture of my front
porch taken with the slow cam app on my
iphone. i added the figure and background
writing with procreate..texture in distressed fx
then finished by adding letters across her back
in path on.
if you could smell this picture....
it would smell of
sadness

The Wrong Side of Mercy
sometimes
the only way i
can make
peace
with something
is to
run
from it
i find
the more
i run from
things
the more they
chase
me
today finds me
on the wrong
side of
mercy
on the wrong
side of
mercy

Walking in Sadness
i spent some time yesterday evening
walking this medicine wheel
thinking about my life
talking with God
i struggle with how to "be"
in this world
i just...
struggle
can you feel
the
sadness?

Even The Trees Cried
there is a story
of great sadness
of great sadness
lives deep
in my bones
in my bones
that can't be read
in the sun
in the sun
under a blanket
of grey
of grey
a crow sang it
out loud
even the trees
cried
out loud
even the trees
cried
