our lost sentinels.....
mother nature has had a serious attitude lately...
the storm night before last was the worst this area has seen
since hurricane hugo made his march across our little hamlet!
as far as i know...there were no personal injuries
but....oh....so many...beautiful...old... trees...
lost.....

Wow how sad, but you definitely have a good idea to make a bad situation better. Stay safe! I am glad there were no injuries!
Thanks Sally....I'm grateful to have had power at home....much of our folks here have been without. Thanks for visiting!
3 yrs ago we had a bad wind go through and tear down all our trees. They said it was not a tornado ,however, our streets were lined with broken trees and we were without power for about 2 weeks. You could not ever drive down the streets. I could not even see my neighbor , her back yard was covered with downed trees....but some how the disaster in Joplin seems minor to what happend here....I thought our streets looked like a war zone, nothing looks the same since....but I pray we never have to see what Joplin did last week...190 mph...it does make one nervous all these storms....:-) good to hear you are all safe....
You are so right Roberta..my thoughts and prayers are with those in Joplin and all the others hit by these violent storms...thanks for visiting.
