Thanks Given

i have so much more to be thankful for than i could ever list here.

this old faithful body still carries me through each achingly beautiful

day...i am still filled with curiosity and wonder at all this earth has to

offer...i can explore each day under deep blue skies and sit each

night cloaked in stars as i feel the moon's heartbeat...and the knowing

of this fills my heart with a gladness that is palatable...i still think

deeply...love fiercely...hope relentlessly...and breathe in God's love

for me...i am protected by angels and provided for by the universe...

and i bow my head daily in gratitude for this. i am truly blessed...

and on this day of giving thanks...i send blessings to each of you.

i have more to be thankful for than anyone would

care to read about...so...let me say how thankful i am

for my new cookbooks!

I just got Home Made and Home Made Winter by

yvette van boven.....such LOVELY books.

the recipes and the photos are to die for!

everything is fresh...made from scratch...

even how-to's for making your own

cheese...butter...yogurt...and sausage.

i'm looking forward to trying some of her

soups...breads...and flavored butters on

the upcoming winter days.

being the unconventional person that i am...

my thanksgiving meal was a spinach quiche (my

own recipe) with creme fraiche and a little
spinach/artichoke spread on the side. and for
dessert i made her white chocolate coffee. i
 improvised some and used chopped white chocolate
 chips and a packet of starbucks via...ready brewed

iced coffee. i put the heavy cream with a 

spot of sugar and vanilla in my "magic

bullet" to whip up the cream. had this

wonderful concoction and a couple of 

key lime cookies to top off my meal.

YUM!

being the glutton that i am...now i'm

waiting for Home Made Summer...

due out next may.

and let me also add that among the

many things that i count as blessings

are you....my "cyber" friends.

i have many things to be thankful for this thanksgiving...........i'm thankful i have a warm house to live in........i'm thankful i have a job.........i'm thankful for my health..........i'm thankful for the food that graces my table........i'm thankful for good friends and family...........i never thought i'd be thankful for alzheimers but i'm thankful my mother has alzheimers so she isn't aware that she's dying of lung cancer.........thank you lord.....for all my many blessings.
